Exposition Studios is a rehearsal and recording studio space located in Culver City. They offer affordable rehearsal rooms with flexible schedules. Walk-ins are welcome.

This rehearsal space is a good fit for small bands and songwriters to rehearse. DJing and large-band rehearsals aren’t available.

The studio pictured below is about the size of most of the hourly rooms there.

Clean, convenient, friendly, and well-equipped rehearsal rooms in Culver City. The best part about it is that they let you do last minute bookings, which is pretty rare for rehearsal rooms around LA.

The rooms are drum kits all sound huge. Bring your own snare and cymbals! They’ve got them there if you need them though.

Exposition treats everyone like family. From their employees to their guests to their gear. This is a labor of love and a popular rehearsal space among those living on the West Side for a reason.

Parking: The parking is pretty tight, but there are a few spaces. Be warned that sometimes other musicians will linger in the parking lot holding up parking spots.

• 48 hour cancelations

• 2 hour minimum for bands
• 1 hour minimum for solo artists
• Setup/Teardown must happen in your reserved time.

Noise

Last time I was here, the noise wasn’t bad at all. I think I was one of only a few artists there that day though. It seems like Exposition has done a lot more than the standard plywood or metal walls that other rehearsal spaces use for soundproofing.

The reason I go to Exposition instead of Pirate Studios in Culver City is because of the building layout. Exposition’s studios are somewhat separated by hallways and open space, whereas Pirate’s rooms are all right next to each other.

Equipment

All studios come with drums and a PA. Drums come with hi-hats and a ride cymbal. You can rent other cymbals for the kit.

Exposition Studios offers monthly production lockout rooms in LA as well as rehearsal spaces. These new rooms are empty except for whatever gear you bring in.
