Started in 2013, Beat Garage has been curating great vibes and affordable spaces for musicians ever since in North Hollywood.

Beat Garage offers a number of recording studio options:

Hourly recording studios (solo): Rent a single tracking room for songwriting sessions or demos. Equipped with chairs, guitars, and a recording computer.
Hourly recording studios (band): Also rent an acoustically-treated drum and live band room to record larger groups.
Daily recording studios: Get a discounted rate when you book all day.
Monthly recording lockouts: Apply for a spot on the waitlist at Beat Garage’s monthly lockouts. These are smaller studio spaces you furnish yourself.

Hourly and Daily Recording at Beat Garage

There are 5 main rooms at Beat Garage. There’s one production studio that also acts as a control room alongside four live rooms. All the live rooms also double as both rehearsal studios and recording studios.

To record hourly at Beat Garage you have two options. First, you can rent the production studio and record vocals and some acoustic guitars. Alternatively, you can also rent one of the four larger rooms in the same session to record drums or a band.

Studio B

Studio B is the production studio and control room. It has a Pro Tools rig, guitars, keyboards, and is soundproofed for tracking vocals and acoustic instruments.

This room is ideal for songwriters trying to figure out the chorus to their song or lay down a demo.

All of the rooms at Beat Garage pass the “vibe check.” There’s no smoking, the lights dim, and they’re easy to get in the mood to finish writing a song.

Studio 1-4

Studios 1 through 4 are live rehearsal rooms that also double as recording space at Beat Garage. They range from $25/hr to $30/hr depending on size.

Studio 1 is the most popular live tracking room, as the room is acoustically treated for recording.

Compared to other live rooms that are simply soundproofed.

If you’re going to record at Beat Garage, you should rent Studio 1.

Studio 1 - a wide angle of the room as though it was set up for a band rehearsal instead of a recording session.
