- Ideal For: This package is ideal for small groups or family get-togethers.
- Pickup and Delivery: You pick up the equipment from us and drop it off when you’re finished with your event.
- Booking Length: All bookings are for a 24-hour time period. The clock starts when you pick up the equipment.
This package includes:
- Songs: 1 iPad with karaoke software and access to 55,000+ songs (Requires Wi-Fi). Singers can add themselves to the queue and get called when it’s their turn on one iPad. The iPad displays the lyrics and connects to the sound system.
- Microphones: 1 studio-grade professional microphone. You can use this microphone for singing karaoke. Or, you can use it for announcements and speeches between songs.
- Speaker: Powered speaker system with enough power to deliver sound across a large backyard or throughout a home.
- Additional Equipment: You’ll also get stands for the iPad, extension cords, wireless microphone adapter, and everything you need to start singing.

Our team will check the microphones, TV connection, and volume levels to make sure your event feels cohesive and complete. Don’t worry about anything other than having a good time at your party with our audio setup services.
After your event, we’ll pick up and tear down the equipment the next day.

How it Works
Ready to book a karaoke experience? Here’s what to expect.
- Step 1: Pick a Package. Decide on which karaoke package is best for your event. Pick between self-hosted or assisted setup options.
- Step 2: Book Online. Choose a date and time for your karaoke event and book it all online. Sign an insurance waiver if you’re picking up and setting up the equipment yourself and get a confirmation email with complete step by step setup instructions.
- Step 3: Get Equipment.
- Self-Hosted: Pick up your karaoke equipment with everything you need to get started. Then, drop off your equipment after the event is finished within 24 hours.
- Delivery and Setup: If you order delivery and setup services, we’ll drop it off and have it ready at least 90 minutes before your event begins.
DIY Setup Instructions
If you chose to set up the equipment yourself, this is an overview of the process.
- Step 1: Connect the provided power cables to the iPad, speakers, TV, and wireless microphone receivers (if applicable).
- Step 2: Connect the audio cables from the iPad’s headphone jack to the speakers.
- Step 3: Connect the HDMI cable and adapter to the iPad’s Lightning port.
- Step 4: Connect the wireless microphone adapter to the speakers.
- Step 5: Play a karaoke track on the iPad and adjust the volume levels of the microphones and iPad directly on the speaker.
- Step 6: Confirm the TV is mirroring the iPad screen with song queue and lyrics.

Yes, LA Music carries insurance. However, if you rent our equipment for a self-hosted party, you’re responsible for the full cost of the equipment if anything is broken.
How much does self-hosted karaoke cost?
To host a night of karaoke at home, expect to pay between $249 and $599 for a one-day rental.
This includes the cost of the equipment rental, sanitization, music licensing, charging microphone batteries, and testing the equipment before it’s rented out.
What songs do you have?
Our karaoke software is Karafun. You can browse their song catalog of over 55,000 clean and explicit versions of the worlds most popular hit songs.

How long is the rental period?
Rentals last for 24 hours from the time of pickup. Once you pick up the karaoke machine, you have 24 hours to bring it back with all of its accessories.
