Royal Rehearsal is one of the few monthly lockout rehearsal studios in LA that lets you see their availability online.
Most others require you to call or email first and it can take days or weeks to hear back!
In short, Royal Rehearsal is a rehearsal and recording space built for musician by musicians.
They offer hundreds of affordable shared and dedicated monthly studio and rehearsal lockouts all across the city (University Park, Boyle Heights, Burbank, K-Town).
They boast that 80% of their clients renew year after year! It might be hard to get a room, but once you do the hits are right at your fingertips.
Royal Rehearsal opened its first LA location in 2004 and the music community loved it. Musicians Max Delbecq and Ian Vishnevsky knew the need for high-quality, affordable studios was high.
A second University Park location opened in 2013 and four more followed.
Common areas, recording studios, video production space, and event promotions were added too.

On average studios at Royal Rehearsal rent for between $400 and $1,000 per month.
If you find a studio you like, you’ll fill out an application form.
Shared Studios: Shared studios often pair 3 or 4 other producers into a single lease. This helps keep costs down. A shared calendar helps you find private time for yourself.
- Shared studios usually come with a monitor and speakers, but the rest of the gear is your responsibility to bring.
Dedicated Studios: These studios are all your own! But they’re more expensive than a shared lease.
- Dedicated studios don’t come equipped with any gear.
