Guitar Repair Shops in LA

🔴 Neely Guitars (Repairs and Building)

Contact: David

Phone: (323) 850-7043

Location: 7424 1/2 Sunset Blvd #1, Hollywood

Price: $$$

Neely Guitars specializes in guitar repair, restoration, and rebuilding.

The founder, David Neely, has over 40 years of experience repairing and restoring instruments.

His deep knowledge of carpentry and guitar repair is the reason why he’s so trusted with fine and vintage instruments.

Antique guitars aren't meant to look new. That’s why Neely focuses on honest and representative repairs to only fix the things that are truly broken. A good repair or restoration will preserve the instrument's character, minimizing the effects of time.

⚒️ RWR Guitars (Repairs and Building)

Contact: Randy

Phone: (310) 490-5222

Location: 6255 Craner Ave, North Hollywood

Price: $

Every guitar, new or old, can benefit from a good set-up. Your guitar shouldn't hold you back from rocking out on stage or writing a great song.

High action, buzzes, sharp frets, not staying in tune, and poor electronics can turn a guitar into a dust collector.

Since 2003, Randy of RWR Guitars has built, modified, and repaired every type of guitar you can imagine and then some.

He’s a one-man operation so that costs stay extremely low. Randy’s able to give an attention to detail that only comes with this level of knowledge.

Even if the modification doesn’t already exist, Randy will find a way to make it happen even if it means building a brand new guitar from scratch.

He founded LA Guitar Repair in 2014 after working at Fender and Grosh.

Ryan will take on everything from reseting a neck to installing new pickups to help you get a fresh sound. Again, his prices are clear and upfront so there are no surprises at the end of a repair or tune-up.

“It’s obvious Fren loves guitars. He’s got a dusty shop behind his house. Instruments floor to ceiling. He’s down to earth and probably born in the wrong era. Definitely the only person I call for major repairs to my acoustic instruments.”
