Tips to save money at Pirate Studios
In addition to the Pirate studios discount code above, there are a few extra ways you can save money on your booking as well.
Tip 1: Book 4+ hours for a discount.
Depending on how long you book your studio, you can save money by booking at least 4 hours.
Get your first 3 hours at the normal rate of about $20/hr. Then, during checkout they’ll ask if you want to add more time for just a few dollars (in this case, $2.50).
With a 4 hour booking, Pirate Studios is one of the cheapest recording studios in Los Angeles, if not the cheapest (that I know of).
When you’re adding studio time to your cart, add at least 3 hours to get prompted for this additional discount.
Tip 2: Get a promo code while you’re there.
Every time I’ve been to Pirate Studios, they send a text message a few minutes before the end of your session asking if you’d like to extend it.
Sometimes this link contains a promo code giving you your next hour at a discount rate.
Tip 3: Book during off-hours
Pirate Studios isn’t the same price per hour all day every day. Nights and weekends are very in-demand. By contrast, mornings and weekdays aren’t as popular.
If you’d like to save a little money, try to book during the off-hours.
You can save a few dollars per hour if you book Pirate during the morning or on a Monday or Wednesday, for instance.
Off-hours booking can save you between about $7 per hour.
Pirate Studios Review
I’m a huge fan of Pirate Studios in Los Angeles. It is by far the most affordable recording studio and rehearsal space in the city.
Although the noise can get a little loud on popular days like Saturday, it’s always the first place I check for studio time.
I also love hanging out after I finish making music to catch a show in Silverlake or grab dinner.
